Hi,
I am a zabbix noob so please bear with me.
I have set up a test environment that is like this
Zabbix Server --> Zabbix Proxy --> Workstation
Everything seems to be communicating properly except for monitoring the host uptime and host status for my Workstation. I know that the host_status is not used in the proxy environment and therefor is not a good way to monitor the status of your host and I have seen that it would be a good idea to use the nodata() command with a ICMP Ping of some kind.
My 2 questions are
1. Is host_uptime supposed to work in a Proxy environment so that you can get graphs of uptime and such and if so what is the best way to deploy it?
2. What is a good way to monitor the status of a host that is simple to deploy and maybe add to the "windows template"?
Thanks in advance.
