    Missing "Host Status" Data

I've just setup a new Zabbix system at a new location and I'm receiving all other data that I need with one exception. I have better ways to get the host status, but I just wanted to know why checking for the key "status" doesn't return anything. The odd thing is that it does work on only one of the servers but none of the others. I get a "no data" from the rest. I am utilizing "passive" checks for some items, but maybe I'm not using the specific one that "status" needs. All these servers are on the same network subnet and not between any routers or firewalls. Any suggestions?

in general, any heavy usage of .status is discouraged.
are the hosts with the missing status really having at least one passive item that is receiving data ?

All of them have passive ("Zabbix Agent") checks at the moment. This is the initial setup and I haven't started migrating to "active" checks yet. (I always start with passive then move what I can to active. ) That's what struck me as odd that the "status" key didn't seem to work. I was just curious as to why, and hope there isn't another underlying problem that will come back and bite me.

Oh! Then that explains it. Makes sense as those systems have not been restarted since I installed Zabbix! Thanks for your help!
