Graphs/charts datetime values

Using Zabbix 1.6.6 build 7583. On the graphs/charts, the datetime for the graph is correct (matches the date.timezone setting of php.ini, which is US/Central). The Zabbix server itself (Suse SLES11 x86_64) is configured for US/Central. However, the datetime selector/scrollbar across the bottom is showing the localtime as seen from the browser (currently US/Arizona) and is therefore 2 hours behind. If I modify the date.timezone setting, the datetime values of the graph itself change so I know php is reading the setting. But the datetime of the selectable scrollbar below the graph remains as the browser's localtime (US/Arizona) know matter what the date.timezone is set to. I've attached a screenshot showing the issue.

Bump. Here's a larger image showing the issue where the latest date on the scroll bar is 2 hours behind the graph , even though the date.timezone setting is correctly set in php.ini to US/Central.
