Windows 2008 cpu.util [Collector is not started!]

I'm monitoring a Windows 2008 server and receive the following message:

3367:20090708:074948 Item [host:system.cpu.util[,,avg1]] error: Type of received value [Collector is not started!] is not suitable for value type [Numeric (float)]

The item is added by a template which works on Windows 2000 / 2003 servers. Is this a known problem with the agent on Windows 2008 server ?

ZABBIX server and agent are 1.6.5 (same with agent 1.6.2).

    Andreas

Update: Restoring performance counter didn't helped.

        same for us

Among the several hosts there are 2 Windows 2008 SP2 Servers (both are Dell PE2950 hardware and both are domain controllers for our Windows domain).

All data can be collected, only cpu data is missing.
In the logs we can find "Collector is not started" lines.

If we downgrade Zabbix Agent to version 1.6.8 we receive the data.
        With 1.8 no data...

I can confirm this, I've downgraded agent to 1.6.5 and it works.

                  Everything is fine here...

                  Everything is ok here...

                  Zabbix 1.8.2
                  Agents 1.8.2

                  W2000, W2003, W2008, W2008R2, 32&64bit alike...

Whenever i get a Collector is not started, i restart the agent and everything comes up. This does not happen very often though.

                    Same for me [Fixed]

Created an account to let the community know that I had this problem, and I have fixed it.
I was having the exact same issue as above. Mine started after a power outage in our DC. Just one of our servers was not properly reporting some information(CPU was my main concern) in Zabbix. For almost a month now I have been racking my brain trying to pinpoint the issue. The logs in zabbix said that the Collector was not started. When I logged into the server and checked perfmon, and tried to add counters all of the counters were showing up with numbers instead of names. Apparently, the Performance Counter Library had been lost. I followed these instructions and everything started working again:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/300956
