Host group not showing but does exist

I'm running Zabbix 1.6.5 against PostgreSQL 8.3.7.

I added a new host tonight and set it to create a new group. It created them both fine, only problem is neither the group nor the host show up.

If I look in the database they both exist. I deleted them both out of the database directly, and added a new group instead, and that doesn't show up in the Zabbix front-end either, even though it's in the database.

I've also just added a new host, not assigned it to any groups, and it doesn't show up either, although it is in the database table!

Is there anything obvious I'm missing, or something I can check? I have got hosts and groups that were added successfully so I know the system has been working and hoping it's something obvious!

OK, turns it was something (almost) obvious.

The user I log in as has the "Zabbix Admin" permission level, however any hosts/groups created under this account don't automatically get permissions assigned, so it looks as if the system didn't save it, and a "Zabbix Super Admin" has to explicitly add the new group to the permissions.
