    Java Monitoring 1.6.x

I have 2 Zabbix servers (1.6.2 and 1.6.3) I am trying to monitor OpenFileDescriptorCount and MaxFileDescriptorCount, I have zapcat 1.2 war in place for my tomcat application, I get other information back like mem pool usage etc.. but the MaxFileDescriptorCont only shows the default of 1024 which has been change in the OS, and I get null for OpenFileDescriptorCount.
I am running on RHEL 5.3 64 bit (latest patches) and Cent OS 5.3 64 bit (latest patches) Client 1.4.2 and I have trying 1.6.5, 1.6.2 all with the same results. Dose anybody have this working?

if that is zapcat returning these values, you probably should ask zapcat developer

I have found after digging around a bit that Java it self is not reporting this information when using the Java Console I am running Java 1.5.17, looking to try on newer versions of Java to see if that fixes my problem.
