    Cleanup Data for better graphs.

At present I have several similar devices that is giving me random irregular SNMP values. The normal value is between 0.00 and 12.99 (Eb/No on satellite comms equipment). Some times It gives me a value way into the millions or negatives.

I am addressing this with the manufacturer of the equipment. But this will take some time.

    Can Zabbix help?
How would I go about filtering these values out, so as to produce a nice graph without the spikes.

I think it's very custom situation, and best way to solve this problem - it's write and schedule script, which will connect to the zabbix database, search for invalid values and update they with any appropriate value.

Also, you can reconfigure your graphs to avoid extremal spikes: set parameter "Y axis type" to "Fixed" and specify "Y axis MIN value" and "Y axis MAX value" limit values. In your case "Y axis MIN value"=0 and "Y axis MAX value"=13. This may help, I think.

      Thanks

Setting the min/max of the graph y axis proved to be an excellent solution.
Whenever the value is out side of our min/max values other more specialized tools are used, so that is not required on the zabbix graph.

I would prefer to keep the data in the DB as I get it from the device that will help us solve the SNMP problem.

      Thank you very much.
      Regards
