    Server=ZABBIX Server IP or Hostname, that's correct

    Hostname=The Hostname of the PC where the agent runs on. (run "cmd" and then "hostname" to get the name). Important is, that you add the host in the webinterface with exactly the same name - if not you will get connection problems with active checks afair

    But you can do it also on your own. It should be simple, if you have already installed an agent on Linux/Unix (you know the general parameters in the zabbix_agentd.conf)

    In the archive zabbix-1.6.5.tar there is the folder zabbix-1.6.5\bin\win32\, where you can find precompiled executables.
    Modify the supplied windows-config and put it in a folder on the pc together with the exe's. Then run
    zabbix_agentd.exe --config c:\zabbix\zabbix_agentd.conf install --install
    to install a windows service (maybe adjust path)
    and
    net start "ZABBIX Agent"
    (zabbix_agentd.exe --start didn't work for me!?!)

    Regards
    Carsten

        no. if you don't need those services on the zabbix server, just disable corresponding items or triggers (see the manual for more detail)

              I think it's OK ..... :

              global $DB;

              $DB["TYPE"] = "MYSQL";
              $DB["SERVER"] = "localhost";
              $DB["PORT"] = "0";
              $DB["DATABASE"] = "zabbix";
              $DB["USER"] = "rootzabbix";
              $DB["PASSWORD"] = "rootzabbix";
              $ZBX_SERVER = "192.168.0.5";
              $ZBX_SERVER_PORT = "10051";

              $IMAGE_FORMAT_DEFAULT = IMAGE_FORMAT_PNG;

                I have learned that Apache will use the socket in zabbix_server.conf if you write
                $DB["SERVER"]="localhost";
                If you want to connect via TCP/IP you have to use "127.0.0.1".

                My Zabbix-Config:
                DBSocket=/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock
                and the MySQL-Config:
                socket=/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock

                And maybe this doesn't matter, but I have
                $ZBX_SERVER="127.0.0.1";
