No action generated after migrate from 1.4.X to 1.6.5

    Hi all,

I had version 1.4 installed and working properly. I have just migrated it to 1.6.5 without any problem. I have been checking all the configuration and testing the environment and we stop receiving notifications on an Action. Checking the Audit Action section it's empty so no action is being generated when something failed.

    Could you pls help me?

    The platform is debian5+mysql5+zabbix1.6.5

    Thanks in advance

You have to fix your user/group rights since these have changed in 1.6.5.
Items/triggers and actions can be well defined but if the person who needs to receive them is not in the right group/not the right rights etc it will not perform any actions.

      Hi again,

I have a user called netadmin (User type: Zabbix User). He has read-only permissions in the group (LInux Servers) I'm configuring. As I read in other posts, dy default any user has permissions.

I set up the action as follows:
      - For an specific IP address
      - Assign a group (Linux Servers)
      - Link to a template (SNMPv2)
      - Send an e-mail to user netadmin who has read only permissions in the Linux Servers group
      - Action conditions: HostIP=ServerIP AND (Discovery status=Down OR Discovery Status=Lost)

When the discovery finished I can see the server in the correct group, linked to the correct template but I didn't receive the notification. I have also checked the Audit Actions log and it's empty.

I tried several combinations but the result was the same.

What are the correct rigths a user need to have for receiving this notification?

      Thanks a lot

so the host is neither down or lost and action conditions simply are not met
