    Can't clear trigger comments

    I am running 1.6.1.
When I add a comment to a trigger that has risen and the trigger disapears, when a new trigger is risen for the same host the comment is still there ?
I thought each trigger risen was new, so a new trigger ID, so the new trigger should not have any comment.
Is this by design, a bug, or am I doing something wrong ?

A second problem with trigger comment is that I cannot clear a comment once added, I get the error message "Warning. Incorrect value for [comments]".

    Thanks for any help.

      richlv,

I am running Ubuntu 9.04, and the version supported by apt-get is Zabbix 1.6.1.

Should I / How do I install the latest version manually ?

Will this impact future updates with apt-get ?

As you can tell I am no linux expert

      Thanks,
      Scott

depends on your desire and ability to maintain zabbix installation on your own.
i would suggest trying to set up zabbix from source on a test setup, then deciding whether it is worth your time.

yes, it pretty much will. you will probably have to tell apt-get to leave zabbix packages you created alone, so that it doesn't overwrite them at some point later.
