    Is DisablePassive=1 working ?

    Hello,

I have Zabbix 1.6.5 on Linux.
I only want to use Active Checks, so I put "DisablePassive=1" in zabbix_agentd.conf on a Windows box.
I have defined one Item of type "Zabbix Agent" et one of type "Zabbix Agent (Active)
    Then I've restarted the agent.

But Zabbix console continue to receive information from both Items.

I also tried to put "DisableActive=1" and "DisablePassive=1", but it still continue to receive informations !

    Is there something wrong ?

    Thank you for your help

are you editing the correct configuration file ?
if you disable both active and passive, zabbix agent refuses to start up.

      Problem solved !

I don't know why, but the agent was still in 1.4.4 version.
After upgrading to 1.6.5, Passive Checks are disabled.

The 1.4.4 agent starts even if both Passive and Active checks are disabled.
      The 1.6.5 version will not.

      Thank you

i suspect 1.4.4 did not support disablepassive, so it just started up with those enabled.
yep, that's correct - support for this parameter was added in 1.5.2.
