error in secure.log with agent running

When the agent is running on any of my servers (mix of RHEL4/5 and Centos5) I am getting the following in the secure log

Sep 18 20:33:38 domU-010 sshd[3568]: Did not receive identification string from UNKNOWN
Sep 18 20:38:43 domU-010 sshd[3587]: Did not receive identification string from UNKNOWN
Sep 18 20:43:41 domU-010 sshd[3603]: Did not receive identification string from UNKNOWN
Sep 18 20:49:00 domU-010 sshd[3616]: Did not receive identification string from UNKNOWN
Sep 18 20:54:04 domU-010 sshd[3638]: Did not receive identification string from UNKNOWN

I am guessing its the test Zabbix agent makes for SSH running but why should it alert like this in secure.log and does anyone know a way to resolve it?

well, your best bet is to disable service check. you can use some other test like sshd process count etc.
zabbix connects to ssh port and does some basic test to ensure it's ssh, but sometimes that upsets the daemon on the other end (it's similar with smtp tests as well)
