Zabbix 1.6.6 stops collecting randomly

Hi,

I have Zabbix 1.6.6 on Ubuntu. It runs fine for the majority of time but it sometimes stops collecting on some items on some hosts. Restarting both the Zabbix server deamon and the agentd deamon of the Zabbix server, fixes it. I haven't found a pattern to the problem yet but was wondering if anyone has run into the same issue. I can't seem to find any relevant issue coming from the agent or the server logs.

Try to increase the verbosity of your logs, DebugLevel=3 or DebugLevel=4 and something definately some info on the problem has to show.

I only get it when retrieving items using the active agent with 1.6.6, can't find any reason why it just sometimes stops, I found it stopped less the more I tidied the templates by removing any disabled items and for some reason it improved the data retrieval but I started a thread here and never get any responses:

I've also got problems with things stopping as soon as you add triggers.
