Zabbix and VMWare

Hi All,

We have couple of ESX server farms. I would like to use zabbix to monitor this ESX farm and based on the existing discussion in this forum, the following url is no more available http://skanetwork.com/zabbix-and-vmware/. Kindly share the details, as I do not prefer to use the SNMP monitoring capabilities of ESX server.

your link does not work for me.

I´m using standard zabbix agents on our ESX 3.5 hosts.
As we are using Dell hardware I also run the Dell Open Manage,
and use zabbix templates to monitor the hardware.
In the VM´s ( Windows) I´m running also Zabbix agents

Hi Gerald,

I would like to monitor the ESX server parameters, (i.e number of VM's running and resource utilizied) rather then the linux parameters. I know that the site i have mentioned above is not available, I would like to know is anyone else has used the vmware perl scripts for monitoring and can share the steps or templates to configure zabbix for the same.
