macros in actions not working

Hi
I have configured an action with a number of macros. but when I receive the email it only has the default macros in it and not the changes I made ..
It is definitely saved the info because I can go back to edit it.

I have attached an image of what I have done.

Any adivice would have grate

and what do you receive ?
does action operation specify that default message should be used for that user ?

also, if you use recovery message, you should add trigger condition = problem (but beware of 'ok' events being recovered - if you get message flood, you might have to clear escalations table)

I have had a number of issues with the actions. It did finally work but after a long time .I have created an Action as advised.

1) I have found it take a long time to apply the action and for it to respond to triggers that are active while the Action is being applied.

2) I have found that after acknowledging an Action I'm still receiving notifications.

3) I have configured it to send messages to my gmail jabber account and I recieve nothing.

4) I'm currently not receiving notifications on any of the active triggers. even though on the dash bourd that are clearly displayed ...

How do I resolve these ?

i don't quite understand this. do you mean action saving ?

acknowledging an event, you mean ? if so, you are missing 'acknowledged' condition in action operations, i think

i've read somewhere that gmail only has SRV records for jabber, which isn't supported by zabbix yet

notifications are only sent out when trigger changes state.

I meant on the dashboard under "Last 20 issues" the "Ack" column where one acknowledges an issues .

Ok don't worry about the jabber ..

The biggest issue I have at the moment is that the Action is not working . It's not sending emails .Whats have I missed ? See the pic I attached last ..
