    No action executed

    Hi,

My action is not being triggererd. Maybe i am doing something wrong.

I have successfully created a few triggers, they work properly. Then i created an action with the folowing condition; Trigger severity = "Warning"

When one of the triggers is in "Warning" state the action is not fired. Also when i look at the events the "no action"

Can someone tell me what is missing here?

    Thanks

You didn't specify what action you're trying to accomplish.
Try first with a simple one,
trigger an email, jabber message, sms.. to some contact you're certain is active.

In Zabbix you have to think in the following flow:

              Host -> Items -> Triggers -> Actions -> Users

If you're sure The Trigger is working ok, then the problem is in one(both?) of the next steps.

If you are the User you're trying to email is correctly setup with the needed permissions.... printscreen the action you're using

For the personalized recovery message work OK you need to add an extra,
                  Trigger value = "PROBLEM" condition
either that or uncheck the 'Recovery message' box.

and for the scenario you described you don't need escalations do you?
Uncheck the 'Enable Escalations' box - you'll only need that when you want to escalate problems to another user if a specified time period is
                  exceeded.

                    unfortunately no results.

i unchecked the 'Recovery message' box and i unchecked the 'Enable Escalations' box

i also tried using several other conditions in the action config.

You're sure you configured your Trigger as severity = Warning right?

You can use an Action to send alarms for multiple Triggers of several severities using the condition
                      Trigger severity >= ""

Maybe the problem is not in Zabbix per se but in your system firewall blocking the signaling.

Try sending the alarm for a different medium, like a gmail Jabber account or sending an SMS.

                        hi,

i cannot set Trigger severity >= "", i can only choose from the dropdown box (information, warning etc.)

i think the trigger works prorperly.

Whenever an email action not fired due to the os, firewall or something else out of zabbix' scope, zabbix would still show an action (failed action) or not?

I was talking about setting the Triggers severity range in your Action conditions.

And yes, you should see the Actions effects on,
Administration -> Audit, and selecting Audit Actions from the dropdown button on the upper right corner.
                          You should see a:

                          Status Retries left
                          not sent 0

If your Action is triggering OK but there's any problem sending it.

                            Problems with sending alerts

In my environment we identified that zabbix also can not send e-mail alert. Stopped working in this version.
I checked the log Postfix and Zabbix closes or loses connection with postfix. See the messages in the log below:

                              Oi Fatima.

Após a actualização da versão Zabbix que outras alterações ocorreram no host 10.30.2.24? É aí que está o Zabbix Server?
                              /
After updating Zabbix version which other changes occurred in 10.30.2.24 host? Is there where Zabbix Server is?
