I have created a template called template_consoles with a simple icmpping (copied from the TEMPLATE_CISCO_PIX) and I disabled all the items except icmpping.
I then go through and add my console devices and linked them with the new template_consoles. When I turn monitored on, I get the following:
"Monitored:Not available: Timeout while connecting to [10.XX.XXX.XXX:161]" which is the ipmi port. So I go through and delete my 7-10 consoles and recreate them, same message again.
Database issue? The consoles were a part of a XML file import along with the hosts. The import did not have any issues.
