Reading some text files - how to monitor /import textfile values

    Hi all,

i'm using zabbix to monitor all our cashing machines and servers. It would be really nice to monitor the "sales per hour" as well, which can be exported by our maschines.

The exported textfile looks like: 12:00;-;13:00;24,50

Is it somehow possible to get the time and amount into zabbix?
My goal is to monitor every sales point with nice graphes ..

Any answer is very much appreciated.

    Cheers :-)

there are several ways to achieve that. you could parse the file and store only numeric value in a separate file that is monitored by zabbix.
alternatively you could have a script that again parses this source data and sends data to zabbix using zabbix_sender utility
