Graphs not appearing... they are there in "screens"

    Hi all,

I've set up several graphs attached to Template_Linux. I can add all of them to a screen, and everytime I look at the screen for the hosts under that template, all of the associated graphs appear. If I go into the host and try to look at the graphs via the graphs tab, none of them appear in the drop down menu and none of them show up in the display. In addition, If I click on a graph in the screen, it just takes me to an empty set on the graphs page... no graphs.

I'm logged in as an admin on zabbix 1.6.6, so I dont think its a permissions problem (and if it were I shouldnt be able to see the graphs on the screen page either right?)

    What am I missing here?

    Thanks!

    Hi!
Too complicated to understand you based on this description. Can you please provide some screenshots for this description ?
In general when you are creating screens using Configuration->Screens menu and then add resources (graphs) to that screen in case if this Template is NOT linked to some host then graph selection form will be empty.

I'm not sure screenshots are going to help, let me see if I can be more clear in the description.

I am talking about two different pages, one is the screens page, and one is the graphs page.

I have ~20 hosts that are all attached to the Linux template, but no custom graphs set up.

I then set up a custom graph (e.g.) 1,5,15 minute processor load on a particular server.

I attach that custom graph to the Linux template.

Now I can create a screen that includes the custom graph for any one of the hosts attached to the Linux template and it displays properly. (Zabbix -> Monitoring -> Screens )

However, when I go to the graphs tab and select the host, I don't see that graph listed for the host. (Zabbix -> Monitoring -> Graphs )

I've done this with four custom graphs, and followed exactly the same procedure for each of them. ONE of the graphs shows up on the host graphs page for all of the hosts, but none of the others do.

I've figured out that if I unlink and clear the template from the host and then re-add it to the host, the graphs show up.

I hope you don't mean that you "set up a custom graph on a particular server", and then attached it to the template.

You need to set up the graph on the template, then it will be attached to hosts.

If you have already made the graphs on one of the servers, you can just use the 'copy to ...' to copy them to the template.

That is assuming I haven't misunderstood you.
