    MySQL-Server gone away

    HI everybody!

    I always get this error:

How can an agent config file make diffrence in how server uses mysql connection.

My server spits out mysql server gone away too after upgrading to 1.8. I would file this as a bug cause I don't believe zabbix could be idle so long that mysql goes away when mysql is installed on localhost.

I have the same problem, in sporadic intervals I've got this message too.

I've had this in other applications - Zabbix could be hitting a bug in MySQL which is causing it (mysql) to crash.

If possible and you're MySQL is fairly low-traffic, set up query logging, then the next time you get a message like that in your Zabbix log, compare the timestamp with your MySQL query log and see what the last query was to run before the crash.
