Bug Report: Remote commands do not work through proxies

    Hi,

I'm monitoring several different sites through Zabbix, with one proxy at each site. On one of the site, there is a program that has to be running all the time, but is prone to crash a lot (custom made). Basically, I'd like Zabbix to be able to restart the program if it crashes, but it is not working because the host is being monitored by a zabbix proxy. It seems that remote commands are not being sent through proxies, as opposed to virtually everything else.

Is there any way I can work around that? I'd rather have zabbix do it than a local script, because Zabbix makes it easy to see how often it crashes, trends, etc.

Confirmed, reported this bug early. The only way I found to solve this problem is to convert proxies to child zabbix servers. But it trully not acceptable to me and I think this functional a must for proxy.

      Any news on this?

      Hi guys,
I've got a nice set up of Zabbix 1.8.2 with 5 proxies and a central management server, these proxies are installed in remote branches etc, and I've got a homebrew app that keeps on crashing so I thought I'd just set up a remote command, and I noticed it doesn't pass through the proxy.
Has this been fixed in 1.8.2 and it's just me... being me, or it's still not working?
Any chance for a fix to this? Maybe a beta of the next release, a hotfix, anything?

It's a feature I really need, to run remote commands through proxies :/
      Let me know... thanks!

          Eugh

Right so it looks like I'll have to convert the proxy into a full blown node then.
Is there any big annoyance in that? Eg separate admin from two web interfaces etc or is it possible to do everything from my main server?
