I upgraded from 1.6.x to 1.8 this morning and noticed something very odd and just wanted to see if anyone had seen this before or maybe it's just something I'm doing wrong.
I have a number of WAN devices that I monitor the ICMP response time of, before the upgrade I was seeing normal response times, say 4ms for one, but after the response time is now 4 seconds and all checks are showing the same change... So of cause all the alarms are going off as they have exceeded 200ms.
Has the value returned from icmppingsec changed from seconds (what it was) to milliseconds by any chance as that would make sense? I checked the 1.8 manual and it still mentions seconds as the return value.
Here are the details of the item used to get the data:
Description: Ping response time
Type: Simple check
Key: icmppingsec
Type of information: Numeric (float)
Units: s
Use multiplier: Do not use
Store value: As is
Hopefully it's as simple as the value changing from seconds to milliseconds.
Thanks,
Mark
