Linking to graphs in 1.8

I use GeekTool to keep some graphs on my desktop. The simple-graphs work well, but now the graph-graphs have a start time parameter. Is there a way to link to the graph and get the latest data without supplying a start-time?

1. Send start time + lets say a 1year?!
2. Try to request graphs without this parameter.

1. That actually works, which is good enough.
2. That actually gives me a graph with the current time as the start time, showing no data, which is bad.
