some maps invisible to users who should have rights, after 1.8 upgrade

We recently upgraded to 1.8, and after doing so, several of our maps became inaccessible to users who were not super admins.

To test this, I created a host group with all hosts in the group, and a user group with full read/write access to all groups. I then created a test user and put this user in the user group. This user should, and does, have access to all of the information for all of the hosts in my system.

However, certain maps are simply invisible to this user. If I then go in and give this user Super Admin rights, they graphs are available. Otherwise, even with Admin level priveledges, users cannot see several of our maps.

If it's feasible you could create a user with super admin rights that they have access to. In my scenario the most important map is displayed on a common monitor, so the entire helpdesk can see it. I made the user for the monitor a super-admin, and didn't give up the password to any of the users.

This may not be feasible for you, however.
