Configuration page, group drop down menu malfunction

I just upgraded from 161 to 164 and there is a slight malfunction with the group drop down menu in the configuration page.

All our host belong to at least 3 groups, categorized as this: the site; the department; the machine nature.

    Examples:
Host A: Laval, Finance, Windows Desktop
Host B: Laval, DMZ, Linux Server
Host C: Montreal, Finance, Windows Desktop
Host D: Montreal, DMZ, Windows Server

Whe I click the drop down, all the group entries show sites:

    Example:
    All
    Laval
    Laval
    Laval
    Laval
    Montreal
    Montreal
    Montreal
    Montreal

When in fact it should be:
    All
    DMZ
    Finance
    Laval
    Linux Server
    Montreal
    Windows Desktop
    Windows Server

This upgrade has been done through a do-dist-upgrade on a Ubuntu Server (Jaunty to Karmic), so I assume all the proper database manipilations have been done.

    I s this fixable?

i vaguely recall that an issue like that should be fixed in latest 1.6 releases (1.6.8 is the current release in that branch)

Thanks for confirming that it is a bug and not a mismanipulation on my part.

Hummm, it seems there are not much upgrading uf the packages in Ubuntu. There is a 1.6.6 deb for Lucid but it does not seem to be backported to karmic.

I'll try to find a patch for this issue.

to test whether it would help you can simply place frontend from 1.6.8 in another directory, copy over frontend conf file and access it
