    Problem with user management

    Funny one:

create a user, in that dialogue add him to some groups.

On saving this users find all other users thrown out of these groups. Oops!

Adding multiple users to a group in the group management works, though, so there is a workaround.

Btw. I can also confirm the problems of screens and maps defined by the Super Admin not to be accessible by Users and Admins. This confused me a lot until I found it is a bug not a feature ;-)). I am rather new to Zabbix.

I can also confirm that the copying of graphs doesnt work it returns an error message about a wrong arg to foreach if I remember correctly. If necessary, send me a PM and I'll provide details and screenshots on any of the reported problems.

1.8 needs some brushing. Nevertheless impressing piece of art!

    Not so funny anymore

Change the password of a user Super Admin and the group get "updated" regardless so all other group members get kicked out of this group.

    Major outch!

        Ok I understood ...

There is the Jira, I registered there and will be able to search for already open issues in the future, etc. pp.

        Understood and agreed.

What I did not understand: how can I download the repository including the current level of fixes. I'd assume there is an SCM attached to the Jira somewhere. Would I have access to that?

I try one sourceforge. But unless I am mistake the version I got was an ancient 1.3?!? Had sourceforge been abandonned?

If you hint me a bit more to help me orienting ... please?

          Sorry ... found it.

despite of being a real wiki fan, I missed on that one. All instruction are there!

I might hint to put a link to the download section of the main website, for those willing to go SVN directly.

Will now be able to swim!

          Thanks a lot!

PS: looks like I will like this ... really.

                What to do

                Go to the Zabbix Wiki

                http://www.zabbix.com/wiki/contrib/getting_source

Follow the instructions and load the latest source and this should contain the fix (I downloaded the trunk).

I acquire the source but had no time to compile and install it over. (you will need an svn installed, should be no problem in any current distro).

So ... myself, I will take a day or two to get there doing the recompile (too much workload, no time).

According to richlv that problem should be history.

please note that you do not have to compile server, just using the latest frontend should work

                    maps problem

                    I quote:

Is there a fix for this bug??
                    where??
I think we get the same problem with maps

                      User / groups problems

I found the same problems in the version 1.8, and after upgrading to 1.8.1 the problems remains.

Is there any patch addressing this bug?

I have several users and several hosts, they are divided in areas and is a bit complex the whole setup, it is really annoying do some change and suddenly kick out everybody from their groups.

Please if anyone has a solution.... let us know!
