    Missing chunks in graphs

Hello, I'm graphing various apache statistics and some of the graphs have missing chunks of data in them. Check out http://ooz.net/~elvar/stor/zabbix_graph.png.

Here are the values of the item I'm graphing...

    Type of Information: Numeric (unsigned)
    Data Type: Decimal
    Status: Active
    Store value: As Is
    Show value: As Is

Also, when I go to Monitoring -> Latest Data -> Check Latest 500 values I don't notice anything missing.

    Kind regards,
    Elvar

I notice if I view the graphs with a zoom of 1day I don't notice the chunks. Is my problem possibly just that when viewing only the last hour with a width of 900 it shows time detail finer than the polling period?

Looking at your 3 hr graph, I find it hard to believe that there is data collected for the 'missing chunks' periods.

Take a look at Values, on the above graph, for the period 8:49 - 9:01, my guess is that there are no values. No values = no data = nothing to graph.

Might be time to increase your pollers/trappers in your zabbix_server.conf

You could also monitor the zabbix queue and compare the missing chunks period with long queue periods. But, usually this is a poller/trapper problem.

Disclaimer: All of the above is pure speculation.
