    Slidshows don't show 1.8

I have a slideshow of 10 screens that does not proceed through. The show is set to go through at 60s intervals (though we are having the same problem with slides only showing for 30s as a poster below is) but Zabbix is only showing the first (for 30s), the second (for 30s), flashes the third then restarts with the first slide.

It worked with 1.6 and I have deleted and recreated the slideshow.

Any ideas how we can get this back working or do we just have to wait for 1.8.1?

      Hi SMB

Did you get this issue solved ? I am still having this issue on my slideshow. I have installed the latest build PRE 1.8.2 of the 22/02/2010 without any correction.
Have you found a workaround to this issue ?

      Thank you by advance.

It sound strange for me that not so many people are using this slideshow.

          Hi,

Please check your config for the user maybe the user is set to update the page in 30 seconds.

            GREAAAT rafael moreno.
Your trick has solved my problem.

In fact, for the user, the refresh was at 5 sec.
I have change for the user to a refresh to 30sec ... and now the slideshow are shown correctly with a correct timeout.

Thank you... It sounds that the user refresh parameter is having impact on the slideshow screen on 1.8.1 ..

Some more explanation of the troubleshoot.
In fact, on the user description screen, there is a refresh interval parameter. This parameter is refreshing the slide show.
I had a parameter set at 5 seconds. It means that it was restarting the slides show after 5 seconds.

            ex :
My slideshow is composed of 3 slides of 20 seconds. It means a complete slideshow sequence is 60 sec.
With a settings to the user at 5 sec, i was only seing the first slide 5 seconds, then it was blinking, and displayed the same slide again.
With a setting to the user at 30 sec, i was seing the first slide 20 seconds, then the 2nd slide 10 sec, then the slide show was restarting from the beginning.
With a setting to the user at 60 sec, i was seing all slides correctliy during 20 seconds.

I guess that the solution should be that the user settings is not used for refreshing in slideshow... That is my opinion but I am not skilled in PHP to help you more than that.

Thank you all for your investigation.

I know the topic is a bit old, but in case anyone cares, it's a simple enough fix. page_footer looks for a defined ZBX_DO_PAGE_REFRESH, which is set at the top of slides.php. Since the desired behavior is not to refresh that, just comment out the three lines that set that variable, and page_footer will no longer set that refresh rate.

Not sure if that would have any unintended consequences, I haven't seen any in my setup.
