Help .... Agent 1.8 is not working on Windows NT4.0 SP6

I was so excited to find Zabbix... until last night when I tried to install the agent in NT machines.

The message displayed is: "C:\zabbix\zabbix_agend.exe is not a valid Windows NT application."

Unfortunately more than 30 servers that I need to monitor can not be upgraded to the later version due to application compatibility.

I'd be grateful if you can share your experience on this.

Mixed version

I had the same problem. But, you can still use older versions. For instance for my NT/W2K server, I'm using the 1.4.X version.

Thanks Bob, I managed to make the agent version 1.4.2 runs in NT machines. However once the agent is started, the server (verson 1.8) can't contact the agent. The log in the agent contains:

I saw in other thread that is due to the NAT, but an agent in the same subnet works fine.

Any clue?
