ZabbixW32 Agent service terminated unexpectedly

I have installed Windows Agent on many windows servers, but only two of them (win2000) are having the touble.
I have no problem with installation or start the service from the command line. But if I checked the process, the Agent wasn't running at all.
Then I issued the ZabbixW32.exe stop, it said the service wasn't running.

I checked the event log and it showed "The ZabbixW32 Agent service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 1 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 0 milliseconds. No action." If I manually start the service, it will pop out saying "Could not start the ZabbixW32 Agent service on Local computer. Error: 1067: The process terminated unexpectedly."

Is anyone having the same problem? What's causing it?

I think I found the problem is on the client. The port 10000 that zabbix listens was being used by other process. After I changed to use the different port, it seems start working.

This server is odd...

This time I got unable to add performance counter
"\unknownPerformanceCounter(_Total)\unknownperform ancecounter" to query:
The specified object is not found on the system.

Is anyone seeing this error before?

We had the same thing over here and it seemed that it happened because of the length of the servername. First we had a NEXDOUBLER_DL380 server, and we weren't able to start the service. After we renamed the server to NXDBLR it worked fine... Strange but true...

unfortunately, I can not change the server name.
Is there a way to use the alias name in the agent.conf??
Or have it in the hosts file??
