Problem setting up web monitoring

Hi folks,

I upgraded to 1.8 recently and wanted to try out web monitoring.
I've tried to follow the manual - setup Application, then go to Configuration - Web, choose hostgroup and host and click "create scenario".
When I click "Select" for the application I get error "ERROR: No permissions !" although I work as admin. I did notice that the hostid gets lost.
In the configuration of web monitoring URL looks like this
"httpconf.php?sid=fb7a502c9afa6c50&hostid=10017&fo rm=Create+scenario"

The popup URL looks like this
"popup.php?dstfrm=form_scenario&dstfld1=applicatio n&srctbl=applications&srcfld1=name&only_hostid=0 "


Anybody have a similiar problem before ?
Besides the problem with web monitoring setup everything seems to be working ok.

Hi,

i have seen this kind of behaviour in Internet Explorer. In Chrome things are much better, you could try this also.

no luck

so far I've tried Internet Explorer, Firefox and Google Chrome - no luck
I upgraded to 1.8.1 and migrated the database to utf-8 - no good

I click on "Create Scenario" - in the Scenario box I click on "Select" beside the application box and I get a new window with message "Error : no permissions!" and the Url: http://my.zabbix.server/popup.php?ds...&only_hostid=0

The only_hostid=0 disturbs me a bit, because I did select a host and it's id is 10017 - not 0

anybody got any more ideas - where could I check for messages ?
debug is enabled but when I look at that I see many sql commands but no errors
