Multiple MySQL errors on web gui

Hi,

I encountered these error's appear on web ui after upgrading from 1.6.7 to 1.8 :-

Warning: mysql_query() [function.mysql-query]: Unable to save result set in /var/www/localhost/htdocs/include/db.inc.php on line 398

Warning: mysql_fetch_assoc(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /var/www/localhost/htdocs/include/db.inc.php on line 546

Warning: mysql_free_result(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /var/www/localhost/htdocs/include/db.inc.php on line 548

Software versions :-

uname -a
Linux 2.6.30-gentoo-r7 #3 Mon Nov 9 17:16:37 MYT 2009 i686

mysql -V
mysql Ver 14.12 Distrib 5.0.70, for pc-linux-gnu (i686) using readline 6.0

apache2 -v
