EXPORT/IMPORT does not seem to work on 1.8

Anything im missing? I can create a host by hand, but as I try to upload all my hosts by xml files the process seems to go without any warnings or errors, but nothing gets populated. Then when I try to export a host (after I manually create it), I get a 0byte xml file.

Thank you I will check it out. I blew away 1.8 and loaded 1.8.1 so we will see.

I resolved the issue by installing the php-xml package (RHEL 5.4)
