1.6.7 to 1.8.1 upgrade Problems

Hi @all,
after upgrading to 1.8.1 we discovered lots of errors in the zabbix_server.log. e.g.:
15768:20100204:145434.939 Item [HOST1:sensor[temp3]] error: Not supported by Zabbix Agent
15768:20100204:145434.963 Item [HOST12:vfs.file.cksum[/vmlinuz]] error: Not supported by Zabbix Agent
15768:20100204:145434.986 Item [HOST3:sensor[temp3]] error: Not supported by Zabbix Agent
15768:20100204:145435.007 Item [HOST14:ifOutOctets29] error: OID [1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.16.29] value has unknown type [0x81]
15768:20100204:145435.046 Item [HOST14:ifDescr42] error: OID [1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.2.42] value has unknown type [0x81]

any suggestions ?

first, sensors are not supported by agent, second that box probably has no /vmlinuz... as for snmp, those might be nonexistent oids - try to retrieve them with snmpget.

short version - verify problematic items, remove incorrect ones.

Hi,

Try test the itens on the box with the "-t" option of zabbix_agentd.

Ex:

zabbix_agentd -t vfs.file.cksum[/vmlinuz]

It will return the valor. If the result is NOT_SUPPORTED zabbix agent not suport this item.
