How To Edit/Remove Some Service Checks

How do I simply view the service checks set for a specific host (using the Linux template), and enable/disable the ones I want to use? This is a pretty basic function of any monitoring solution yet it is not obvious after hours of hunting through the menus.

In Zabbix 1.6.x you go to Configuration --> Items. Choose the Group and Host in dropdowns in the top right corner, then enable/disable as necessary. If you want to enable/disable on the Template directly, choose Group = Templates.

In Zabbix 1.8.x I believe you need to go to Configuration --> Hosts. It's in there somewhere, but I haven't upgraded yet so can't tell you exactly.

In 1.8.x
Configuration > Hosts > Triggers (from dropdown) and select desired group and host.
Another way:
Configuration > Hosts > Hosts (from dropdown) and select desired group and follow link on Triggers column.
