    Can't run images_oracle.sql!

    Dear Expert,
I've installed Oracle 10g R2 for zabbix server. However, I can't run images_oracle.sql script. Each time, I run, the following error appears:
    "ERROR at line 1:
ORA-22288: file or LOB operation FILEOPEN failed
    No such file or directory
    ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_LOB", line 523
    ORA-06512: at "ZABBIX.LOAD_IMAGE", line 8
    ORA-06512: at line 2"

Please help me to resolve the issue!

    Many thanks,

I've resolved it by myself. Please change the path of images folder in images_oracle.sql to the position of zabbix source. Welcome to zabbix

Yea I had the same issue. =)

Is there a way to contribute to the documentation? I'd like to put in some information that may be helpful to others.

By the way, what character set are you using for your Oracle instance? did you have the nvarchar2(2048) problem as well?

Yes, I also had problem with nvarchar2(2048). I must change it to 2000 to have working, "set def off" not work. Would you like to show your solution about this, JRE?

I also had to change it to nvarchar2(2000), I was just wondering if that was everyone on Oracle.

Yes. That's presently the fix needed for Oracle implementation.

              Hi,

I've change the directory creation on images_oracle.sql as follow:

CREATE OR REPLACE DIRECTORY image_dir AS '/home/zabbix/zabbix-1.8.1/create/data/images' (the directory where the images are located in my system)

When I run the script it shows the following error:

              SQL> @images_oracle.sql

              Directory created.

              Procedure created.

              BEGIN
              *
              ERROR at line 1:
ORA-22288: file or LOB operation FILEOPEN failed
              Permission denied
              ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_LOB", line 744
              ORA-06512: at "ZABBIX.LOAD_IMAGE", line 8
              ORA-06512: at line 2

              Procedure dropped.

              Directory dropped.

What can I do to solve it?

              Thanks in advance

For us, we had to run the image loader on the Oracle server. It does not appear to be able to run remotely.

                  And about the Charset ?

                  Guys,

What character are you using ?

                  UTF8 ?

I am trying to migrate my zabbix from mysql to oracle.. but a lot of character got wrong after the migration in a non UTF8 database.
