Angent in window && monitoring mail server

Hi, I'm learning to use zabbix server but I got 2 troubles that I can't fix them myseft counld anyone plz help me.
1. My zabbix agent can't start in window (i'm using zabbix 1.6.7, event 1.8). it's exactly the same with this topic : http://www.zabbix.com/forum/showthre...?t=6701&page=6. I tried to do like they wrote in page 6 but it doesn't work???
2. I have a mail server: mail.***.edu.vn. Can I use zabbix server to check if services like imap, pop, web, smtp is running on that mail server?
It's very importante with me to troubleshooing this 2 things. So I hope someone help me, plz!

A:Yes. In windows use item service_state[name_of_the_service].
In linux net.tcp.service[name_of_the_service]
