Zabbix 1.6.5 "Cannot remove PID file" error

    Hi all,

I am running zabbix 1.6.5, and I have noticed on a server that the service will not start upon a reboot. Server is SLES11_x86_64. I have chkconfig the service to start on runlevel 3,5.

I set my error log to 4, to get more answers, and I found after the reboot:

12710:20100330:100821 Cannot remove PID file [/var/tmp/zabbix_agentd.pid] [No such file or directory]

12710:20100330:100823 ZABBIX Agent stopped. ZABBIX 1.6.5 (revision 7442).

Of course, in the /var/tmp/ there is not such file. Has anyone seen this issue before? I tried to search for it, but with no luck.

I have searched for the .pid file, using "locate", but nothing turns up.

after the server is rebooted though, I can manually start it. /etc/init.d/zabbix_agentd start

    Thanks for any insight.

are you sure those messages are from the startup, not shutdown ?
what initscripts are you using ?
are there any messages in the agent log before these ?
have you doublechecked chkconfig -l output for zabbix services ?
