host error in zabbix server log.

Hi,

I have deleted few host from zabbix front-end. They do not exist in the host (as per the front end) and I do not need them. But server log file still giving the following error -

Send list of active checks to [x.x.x.x] failed: host [x] not found

I have also checked zabbix database table 'hosts'. The entries of host are deleted.

Why they are still in the log file? Is there any way to get rid of them?

I am using zabbix server version 1.6.5.

this means you have somewhere zabbix agent running and configured to connect to the server with the name "x"

I dont understand your declaration. I got the the problem.
On both sides (Server and Client) are the same configurations (Hostname, IP etc.)
but I got the same error messages in my logs.

What could be the reason for that error?

There is no Agent running in my PC or server. I do not how to check if any other client is running Agent or not. Is there any way to know about this? Any idea how to approach to get rid of this problem?

Anyhow, it should be in this way that if host is deleted, server should not search for that, isn't it?

if host is deleted, server won't try to contact it anymore. but the messages you see are not caused by server but by incoming agent connections.

the ip address that you see after "Send list of active checks to" is the one where the agent is runing
