just as an information:
If you have defined a trigger like {HOSTNAME:icmpping.count(500,1)}=0
you might be surprised, that this will never get true, if the server is down.
Instead in the configuration the trigger is shown with Error:
Host is unavailable.
That's not what we and most others expect from this trigger.
The only trigger which will work in that case is a nodata(500) trigger.
Please check your triggers in 1.6.x. We don't use 1.8.x, so I can't
tell whether this problem was inherited by this version.
I'll create a ZBX-xxxx support case (ZBX-2344), too.
