    Events not binding to triggers

I have several triggers that I would like to send out email alerts on, and I've been unable to find a solution that works. The zabbix server itself is 1.8.2 on CentOS5 / mysql.

I've created an Action but when the event shows up in the Events list, the Action column just has a "-" in it.

I've tried everything I can thing of at this point, and built this Action off another users screen shot in the forum, I've also tried a couple with no conditions set (which as far as I can tell should fire an action for every event in the system!)

I'm attaching screen shots, if anyone can point out what I'm doing wrong, it would be appreciated, I've already spent two days on this.

Nine times out of ten, this is a permissions problem.
Does the User "a-mjrivett" have read permissions for the host.

Look under Administration -> Users -> User Groups, click on a name and add/remove permissions to hosts for that user.

Unfortunately, the user account is listed as a Zabbix Super Admin, and has read/write to everything on the system.

Well in that case, the other one time out of ten is a problem in the media setup. Have you tested your media?
It could be in the levels of severity of the trigger in relation to the defined media. Or, working hours for that media.

          Thanks for the quick reply!

You were right, there must have been something wrong with the media permissions on the user account! I went back and deleted my user account and recreated it, and everything is working correctly!

          Thanks again for your help!
