Maps reporting problems and unknown

Hey all,

I'm new to Zabbix and have just got 1.8.2 up and running monitoring my home network to learn and try it out.

Not sure if this is correct functionality or a 'feature' but if I attach a template to a host that is monitored, and then disable some of the items in that template, the map still seems to report those items as 'problems'.

eg. A linux host that doesn't run mysqld, I disable the mysql items in the template, and the dashboard doesn't alarm on it, but the map icon for the host still seems to see that as a 'problem'.

Seems wrong ?

Would be nice if someone could at least let me know if it's expected behavior ? (i wouldn't have thought so)

I did find something that seemed to suggest it was an old bug, but I'm at 1.8.2 and it's still happening.

Items just collect data, problems come from triggers

Perhaps this explains it better...

Host Downloader actually only has one real problem (mysqld not running) - but the map shows it has 5 problems (and 2 unknown ??)

I assume that you have disabled triggers not items, but triggers staid in state of a problem, that issue should be fixed soon in svn branch.

Nope I was wrong, disabled triggers doesn't shown on maps... The problem remains unsolved..

Need screenshots of same host:
1. number of problems shown in map;
2. Status of triggers, triggers filtered with "Show all"
3. Configuration of triggers
