2 items, only 1 shown

Hello all,

for one of my server I have defined the following items:

vfs.fs.size[/export,used] and vfs.fs.size[/export/data,used]

when running zabbix_get both work, but in web (at "latest data")
I only see the first one (/export)

Any idea what's wrong? Is it a bug?

probably possible, but why? both are active, nothing in the log....
which level should I set for debugging to get info about which items have been
checked or not?

if you go to item configuration, do you see any error messages next to the problematic item ?

no, there aren't any. both items are active.

probably it has to do how items have been created. first item (the one for
filesystem "/export") has been inherited by a template. the second one (the
one for "/export/data") has been cloned from the first (and is now a local item
for this host only).

I experienced this also for another host which has 2 similar additional items
to "/export" (it has also "/export/data" and "/export/home"). i created the
additional items the following way:
/export/data is a clone of /export ----> and not shown in "Latest Data"
/export/home is a clone of /export/data ---> and... heureka... it's shown in
Latest Data!!

ok, so i know a workaround to have all my filesytems shown.... but any idea
why it is so? did i hit a bug?

the way you created the item should have no impact on data availability.
what are item intervals and for how long did you wait for the data to appear ? have you changed item types after creating them ?

Can you try to run following command from the shell on the zabbix host:

zabbix_get -s<IP_Address of server> -kvfs.fs.size[/export,used]

and

zabbix_get -s<IP_Address of server> -kvfs.fs.size[/export/data,used]

Do you see output for both commands?

yes, you're right, zabbix_get works on both

I now removed the not templated item and created a new clone from the
template an now it works... hmmm... funny

seems that there are some bugs in the UI... I also found that sometimes items
get activated for one server when modifying items of another server.... but as
already said in my first post, I'm a complete newbie to Zabbix and probably
doing lots of mistakes when using the UI.. but... I'm learning

that should never happen, obviously. can you reproduce that with the latest zabbix version ?
