    frontend, wrong message : Zabbix server is running No

    Hi,

    with my configuration : fedora 13 and zabbix 1.8.2, I have a wrong information with the frontend :
    Zabbix server is running No

    when I check the zabbix process, I found the zabbix server, but with the name zabbix_server_mysql :-( (this is my problem, thank you the yum installation!)

    I have installed a windows zabbix agent connected to this server and I can see all items, graphs...

    I have changed two files : /var/www/html/zabbix/include/config.inc.php and /var/www/html/zabbix/include/blocks.inc.php with my value zabbix_server_mysql, but the same result.

    thank you very much for your help.

    regards

    Cyrille

    process name is not the problem. frontend tries to connect to the zabbix server, as configured in conf/zabbix.conf.php file (in the frontend directory). make sure that connection is allowed.

      Please check if this file (zabbix.conf.php) contains the proper values for following variables:
      $ZBX_SERVER = "localhost";
      $ZBX_SERVER_PORT = "10051";

      This is my values which works for me.
      If still not working - try to change it to your server IP and not the localhost.

        I change $ZBX_SERVER = "localhost"; with IP address, but the same result

        I found the solution, it was a Security-Enhanced Linux trouble !
        I change "system default enforcing mode" to disable and current enforcing mode to permissive
