    Stuck in RHEL5

    Hi,

I already install zabbix with following command
    ./configure --enable-server --enable-agent --with-mysql=/usr/local/mysql/bin/mysql_config --with-libcurl

I manage to start my server, agentd and mysql services.

Anyone can tell me how to access to the Web Interface?
I already copy all the php files to /var/www/html/zabbix but when i type "http://localhost:10050/" -> it return page cannot be display
if type "http://localhost:10051" -> it return "OK"

Anyone can tell me where goes wrong?

    Rgds

Perhaps you could try http://<IP ADDRESS>/zabbix

    or http://<IP ADDRESS>/index.php
Disclaimer: All of the above is pure speculation.

Are you sure that mysql, http, zabbix_server and agent are running?

Anything in the zabbix_server.log or the http/error_log?

first check, if apache2 is running.
          then enter http://<serverIP>
          it should return "It works".
It it wont, then check your apache.

          Then enter http://<serverIP>/zabbix
          it should return something.

note, that FRONTEND (webpage) does not depend on status of zabbix server.

It does not matter if your zabbix server is running or not, front page has to be accessible.

From your post, I can see, that zabbix server is running, but has problem with mysql.
              Is your mysql running?
Did you prepared zabbix DB in mysql?
Did you edit zabbix_server.conf and added correct DB entries (DBname, DBuser, DBpass).

Did you follow the guide for installation?

                  Is the SNMP and Jabber is a must?because i am installing using following command;
                  ./configure --enable-server --enable-agent --with-mysql=/usr/local/mysql/bin/mysql_config --with-libcurl

Still cannot access to WEB Interface
http://<serverIP>:10051 ---> return a page with word "OK"

I realise the previous error on mysql happen when i startup the agentd.
Anyone can tell me what is going on here?

                      Answer = http://www.zabbix.com/documentation/1.8/manual/installation/requirements#software_requirements

snmp is only required if you plan to monitor with snmp (i.e switches, routers, printers, etc.)

jabber is only required if you want 'pop-up' instant messaging.

After you setup apache don't connect to another port. Zabbix frontend is just as any other webpage and can be placed in any normal virtual host setup in apache.

Do you mean if I want to access the Web Interface i must install apache in my zabbix server? It is not mention in the manual.

Or is it because i am pointing to the wrong path for my URL.
                          Anyone can correct my configuration?

Thanks. After i change the wait_timeout instance, it doesnt show the error anymore but i still havent figure out why is the messages come out after i start the agentd.

Is it because of application internal connection to the server?

                              As stated by mrken:
                              http://www.zabbix.com/documentation/...e_requirements

You NEED apache running to be able to run the interface. Zabbix does not provide a lone daemon for their webinterface.
