Items stuck in queue

Hi

Can anyone tell me how I can remove the items that are shown in the Administration/Tab of the zabbix front end and why they get stuck ?

My experience was that having the wrong datatype (ie integer rather than float) on items was causing those items to get stuck in the queue, and once that happened, it created problems for other items on that host, and other hosts.
