Map does not function on 1.8.3

Configure-->map-->create map-->add element, click the icon a popup menu displayed. But after you changed the attribute of the element, you click the "Apply" button and it does not work. Eveything is same as before. Why ?

First thing to do is to add icons in zabbix frontend.
And what kind of parameters you are changing?

I installed the zabbix according the installation guide and just copy the zabbix.inc.php file to /var/www/html/zabbix/conf/. I did not change any parameter.
