Mass update item based on a template (from "Not supported" back to "Active")

Hi,

Consider the following:
- we have templates for our services
- when we add new hosts to zabbix, we link them to these templates

One of the items in this template went to "not supported" state for all hosts, because of a misconfiguration on the server (a simple check for icmpping).

Is there a way we can update all our hosts at once, to make that check active again? We tried by modifying the template, but that doesn't seem to affect the hosts.

which zabbix version ?

nevertheless :

1. unsupported items should be rechecked every 10 minutes by default anyway;
2. modifying item details on template level should also modify them on all downstream hosts. how exactly have you tried to enable those items ?
