Host not found / no data collection

    Hi
I have a strange behaviour with my fresh 1.8.3 install.
First some technical data about the environment:

-Ubuntu Linux 10.04.1 64 Bit Server with current patchlevel
-Zabbix 1.8.1 installed from apt, then updated via source to 1.8.3
    -MySQL DB is used
-DNS Hostname of zabbix server: monitoring
-Hostname of zabbix server in Zabbix Hosts: monitoring

This is how the host is configured:

In the overview of all hosts you can see it is there, and it is in the state "monitored". Strangely, it is not "available" (red circle)

Even more strange is the fact, that "Latest Data" is completely empty, even though I have set up a icmp ping monitoring for my Internet Gateway:

    And the linked template item:

I have attached zabbix_agentd.conf, zabbix_server.conf, zabbix_agentd.log and zabbix_server.log (both with log level 4) in a zip file below. Maybe someone has an idea what is going on here.

Thanks in advance for your valuable help!

I found the first problem, NodeID=1 didn't work out, with =0 it works. Also important to change location of fping in /etc/zabbix/zabbix_server.conf

Now everything works like a charm!
