    SSL Site authentication

    Hi,

I'm hoping someone can help me or point me in the right direction.

At present we have web monitoring with steps working fine through https access.

We now have an issue in which we need to authenticate zabbix to monitor a site which requires the clients + zabbix to have the ssl cert installed for them to access the website.

Does anyone have some pointers on this or a reference I might have missed relating to setting this up.

    Thanks in advance.

You must generate client certificate with SSL_CLIENT_S_DN_CN field the same as the zabbix user account (Alias).
Then go to apache configuration file and insert the directive
      Code:
      SSLUserName SSL_CLIENT_S_DN_CN
in the right place (for example, in the virtual host configuration section).
Go to zabbix admin panel and turn on HTTP authentication in Administration-Authentication screen (see manual).
      Restart apache.
Install certificate to the browser, restart it and go to your zabbix admin panel.
      Thats it.
